About Charles Jr.

Sir Charles Kingsford Smith became a father only 3 years before his disappearance. His wife Mary, Lady Kingsford Smith, gave birth to their son, namely Charles Jr., in the year 1932. After the tragic flight accident that killed his father in 1935, the boy was raised by his mother. The duo shifted to the USA, where he completed his education.

Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's son, Charles Jnr., returned to Sydney, Australia, from the USA after the completion of his studies. Plenty of news media covered this incident, and many interviews were organised with him by then. John Ulm, a famous reporter, interviewed him at the Sydney airport.

Later, it was found that the son shared equal interests with his father. Also, Charles Jr. was very keen on finding the true pieces of his father's death. Several search operations were organised to find the damaged parts of the missing aircraft, Lady Southern Cross, that his father was flying.

A few years ago, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's family visited Smithy's Southern Cross, where Sir Charles used to fly during his lifetime. Charles Jr., his two sons, and his granddaughter visited the place. Pictures of the great-granddaughter of Charles Kingsford Smith were taken when she was sitting inside a cockpit.

As per reports, Charles Jr. was found to share similar interests with his father, like flying, riding motorcycles, etc. He loves to ride motorcycles, and this is his favourite hobby. Currently, he is 90 years old and works for Microsoft. He is just as adventurous as his father. He still rides his Honda Pacific Coast 800cc.
